Jang Hee Mun is an artist who uses semi-abstract forms in her paintings while also maintaining an aesthetic predisposition to traditional oriental art.
Her artistic process relies on continuity, the rigor of working for long periods of time- sometimes months, exercises the instinct and enables one to employ the subconscious mind directly into the artistic process. Maintaining this state of ‘sensibility’ leads to a higher awareness of one’s actions, thereby creating a pure and cathartic process of artistic expression.
