Devendra Shukla
Profile
Born in Delhi, Devendra Shukla did his bachelor's and Master’s degree in Painting from the College of Art, New Delhi in 1991. He taught in the College of Art, New Delhi, The British School, and Pathways School. He was awarded a bilateral cultural exchange scholarship by the Ministry of External Affairs to study Mural and Lacquer Painting under the able guidance of Prof. Xi Yang Chang in the Central Academy of Fine Art Beijing from 1995 to 1998. He was also invited by the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, Finland for teaching and research in the Painting and New Media department.
Devendra traveled extensively in Asia and Europe and participated in several National and International Art exhibitions. He attended an Artist residency program organized by Daedong cultural Centre in Gwangju, South Korea in 2009. He was also selected for a program organized by the Korean Foundation- Leaders of the Next Generation, in 2010.
He has exhibited his artworks in several countries including solo exhibitions in India, Korea, China, and Finland.
